FAQ

When I give at Jesus House Aberdeen, where does the money go?

Great question! Your giving helps fuel the training of believers, preaching of the word, and resourcing of our ministries here in Aberdeen and across the world.

Giving to Jesus House Aberdeen funds church planters locally and abroad, as well as leases, staff and other operating expenses (like utilities, lightings, kids learning and refreshments and more).

WHAT KIND OF ACCOUNTABILITY IS IN PLACE AT JESUS HOUSE ABERDEEN REGARDING FINANCIAL INTEGRITY?

We are committed to a very transparent approach to our finances. Below are a few ways we are actively demonstrating integrity:

1. We are regulated by the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR).

2. All our pastors are unpaid and are responsible for the supervision of our paid staff.

3.  We provide detailed financial report  in our meetings each month and welcome questions from our members.

How can I give ?

Giving to Jesus House Aberdeen is simple and secure. You can give by credit or debit card via our secure online portal. You can also bring cash or check to any of our physical gatherings/meetings.

For recurring giving, gifts and other donations, please contact us at admin@cityofgod.eu and we’ll get back to you promptly.

Should I GIVE BASED ON MY PRE-TAX OR AFTER-TAX INCOME?

Your pre-tax earnings are the amount of God’s provision, and your tithe should be based on a tenth of God’s provisions.  Taxes are generally payment for the privileges and services provided by the government. Though the bible doesn’t necessarily use the term “net” or “gross,” It is important to know that giving 10% of your income back to God demonstrates your thankfulness to Him for what He has provided. It also helps you to remember to rely on God instead of on riches.

WHAT IS THE ANNUAL BUDGET OF JESUS HOUSE ABERDEEN?

Our budget for 2020 is £350,000. A detailed break-down is available to our members at any time.
