OUR HISTORY
Jesus House Aberdeen, also known as City of God Church Aberdeen, is an international evangelical and Pentecostal church in Aberdeen, UK. We are part of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) worldwide, established in 1952 by Rev. Josiah O. Akindayomi. RCCG is a growing church with parishes in over 178 countries. Pa Josiah Akindayomi died in 1980 at the age of 71, handing leadership to Pastor Enoch Adeboye.
2003
Our Senior Pastors are Dr Mark Igiehon and Pastor Alero Igiehon. Dr Mark, an Oil and Gas Lawyer with a PhD in International Environmental Oil and Gas Law, was sent from RCCG Jesus House Port Harcourt in 2003 with a church planting mandate.
2004 - 2008
In 2004, Jesus House Aberdeen was inaugurated with six members. The church previously met at the Banagask community centre until 2008.
Today
Today, we are a ‘mother church’ for many sister parishes locally and globally, including connections in Canada. Our worship centre (City of God) is at 20 Holburn Street Aberdeen, AB10 6BT.

Dr. Mark Oseyomwanbo Igiehon
Lead Pastor, in charge of Province
Dr Mark Igiehon is the Senior Pastor of RCCG Jesus House Aberdeen (City of God), a pentecostal church in Aberdeen, Scotland, and part of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) worldwide. He is a minister of the gospel by training and vocation, an evangelist, and a missioner who has led missions to many cities and nations. Dr Mark is a church planter who has led the planting of tens of churches across multiple cities and nations. He is a coach to many across the globe, including pastors, and has written books on many subjects, including the WisdomStreet series on practical wisdom for everyday successful living.
Beyond his pastoral calling, Dr Mark is a lawyer by training, a strategist, and an advisor to leading corporations and governments. He brings extensive global experience from his career with Shell International. He is a Fellow at the University of Aberdeen Centre for Energy & Resources Law & Policy, where he teaches postgraduates and supervises doctoral candidates. He is also co-founder and chair of SONG (Success of Nations & Governments Organisation & Institute), focused on training and equipping people to contribute to successful and impactful government and public life. He is affiliated with the Singapore-based MDN (Making Disciples of Nations) network.
PASTOR ALERO IGIEHON
Wife of Pastor in Charge of Province and Marriage Counseling
Pastor Alero Igiehon is an ordained minister and senior pastor in the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) at Jesus House Aberdeen. She is also a trained Environmental and Business Improvement Specialist with over 20 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. She has led and served in various capacities in the church, teaching and mentoring on biblical principles.
She has been actively engaged in Marriage Preparation and Counselling ministry for over 20 years. Her desire is to see homes and christ centered marriages enjoy fruitfulness, peace, and joy. She is wife to Dr Mark Igiehon, a Provincial pastor in RCCG, and they are blessed with three children.
